Episode 1 - Sagittarius Moon as Sect Light - Erin Tack Shipley

Hi, and welcome to the 'Luminaries In and Out of Sect' podcast, a show about the moon and how astrologers embody and relate to it. My name is SP Hall and I'm your host.

In today’s episode on the Sagittarius Moon as the Sect Light I speak to my friend, the astrologer Erin Tack Shipley.

In this conversation, we talk about both of our Sag Moons, and also talk about a lot more. From our Jupiter’s in the 8th House of our charts, to Leonian nature, to planetary joys, and myths about the Moon.

But we also get into some heavier topics, so here is a bit of a trigger warning. We discuss such topics as death, death-phobia, and grief. We talk about appropriation, and colonization, and potential challenges in reimagining myth in our time.

So if these are sensitive subjects for you, I would proceed with that in mind. I also want to reiterate that I’m a student astrologer, not a professional astrologer, definitely not an expert, and that I still have a lot to learn. I hope that you can receive what I say in this episode with the understanding that I’m in a state of flux, learning, and growth, and that I might get it wrong from time to time.

But I think Erin and I had a very rich, free-flowing conversation, and I’m excited to share it with you today.

Please, be sure to check out the link to Erin’s website below, as well as links to some of the resources that we touch on in our conversation.

Hope you enjoy it.
